Formed in 1993 by Jason Rockman and Kevin Jardine in Montreal (Québec), Slaves On Dope somewhat eschewed the Grunge music explosion of the time for a new and heavier Metal sound. The band relocated from their native Montreal to Los Angeles quickly signing with Ozzy Osbourne’s Divine Recordings. The subsequent release, Inches From The Mainline, helped the band reach a much larger audience through radio airplay, retail sales, and live appearances including the Ozzfest and the SnoCore Tours alongside Ozzy Osbourne, Pantera, Godsmack, Incubus, Disturbed, Linkin Park, QOTSA, Fear Factory, Soulfy and more.
After over 23 years together, Slaves on Dope return with HORSE, an album that will redefine what the world thinks of the band. Enlisting the likes of Darryl McDaniels (RUN DMC) , Bill Kelliher (Mastodon), H.R (Bad Brains) and Lee-la Baum (The Damn Truth). The cover art is an original painting created especially for the release by Marvel Comics artist Marco Rudy. HORSE is the next chapter in the story that is Slaves On Dope.
